Labourers
at a particular will be trained for a period of 2-3
months. Courses for each trade have been
meticulously planned and developed by industry
experts to ensure tangible difference in skills at
the end of the training.
-
Prior
to training, each labourer will be evaluated to
record current skill level. Based on current skills
levels, labourers will be trained to be equipped
with skills sets to enable them perform and earn
better. For eg. A half-mason will be trained to be a
full mason over the training period.
-
Stalwarts from the industry have been hand picked
and trained to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Each trainee will focus on no more than 20-25
labourers to ensure that optimal attention is given
to each individual.
-
Every
morning trainers will brief labourers about the
day’s work. Trainers will explain the work in detail
and acquaint labourers with industry best practices.
Remainder on the day will be spent by trainer
observing and guiding the work done by labourers
on-site.
-
Interactive sessions will keep the morale and
interest levels intact. Slide shows, video clips and
other interactive training modules will ensure
training effectiveness.
-
At the
end of the training program, labourers will be
evaluated by an independent agency to gauge change
in skill level and ensure training efficacy. A
certificate testifying skill level will be given to
the successful candidates.
-
All
this will be achieved on job / on-site without any
cost to the developer and the contractor. On job
training will also ensure labourers don’t miss out
of their daily wages.
